Click to expand. If you're trying to make it work on an existing Novakid character, make sure that your ship is upgradeable, take whatever that you've put on the ship and store them in your inventory or some storages on a planet, upgrade it and it should change to Floran's ship. If your ship is already at max tiers then you have to delete the shipworld file in your storage folder, which can be located in your starbound folder. If you have multiple characters and unsure which one is the Novakid one, run the game and choose your Novakid, make sure he or she's on a planet but not on the ship, then quit Starbound. After that you should delete the most recent shipworld file and it should work now.

You still need to take everything off from the old ship first if you still need them though. If all else fails or you just want a non-steam version then I'm afraid you've to wait for half a day since I don't have access to the computer. I can subscribe it and pull out the mod for you.
It seems like it's the only mod out there that do what you want and I'm unsure if there's any other non-steam versions since I only get my mods from here and steam. Edit: Ah, well. I forgot something important so I had to go back to my home to grab it. I took a few minutes to upload it so I hope it works for you now.
Please note that the things I said above are still needed to be done for it to work though. Honestly I can't recommend updating to a different ship. Things can go wrong with this. Take everything off your ship that you want. Put it on a planet.
Pick a mod ship you want and install that mod. I suppose I could plug the shipyard mod but just find whatever you like.
Go to starbound/storage/player/ and delete your.shipworld file. Load up Starbound and your character. Starbound will generate a new ship for you(based off of whatever mod you chose). It will also update it to whatever level you had previously. Move your stuff back in.
