I'm having the same problem as you. I've tried the latest version of Clover (r4380) and the one suggested in the description of the Creating Install Media guide (r4220) and both times Clover sees no disk.
I would no longer trust the bootpacks provided in the EDP list/page. Instead, I highly recommend you use the bootpacks I posted. These full packs do not require any use of EDP and provide everything you need to finalise your OS X installation and run OS X in a fully tuned manner. Stick to Chameleon. I do not use Clover and cannot vouch for it on the D620 GMA950. Your 1st installation screenshot shows an error message about FakeSMC (+ PlugIns) v1212 apparently clashing with myHack's attempted renumbering to v1111; my D620_GMA950_HiRes_10.6.8_Pack includes (fat-binary) FakeSMC v5.2.678 and that won't clash with myHack. Use the following step-by-step procedure with myHack v3.1.2 for Snow Leopard.
1) USB installer creation: • download the D620 GMA950 HiRes 10.6.8 bootpack and note download place + downloaded folder name • connect your USB key and, using Disk Uility tool, format it ' Mac OS Extended (Journaled)' with an easy/recognizable name (eg: USB_8GB). Pavtube bytecopy torrent download. Partition scheme of the USB installer does not matter so you can use GUID or keep MBR if that's the existing scheme. Stellar volume repair keygen crack serial generator programs. • mount (double click) on your SL 10.6.3 Install DVD image (.dmg file). • run myHack v3.1.2 and enter your system password.
• select ' Create OS X Installer' -> ' Create OS X 10.6 Install Disk'. • select your freshly formatted USB key/partition as target volume (eg: /Volumes/USB_8GB). • myHack will now automatically detect the previously mounted 10.6.3 installation disk. • click ' Ok' to erase all existing data on the USB key and proceed with USB installer creation. This will take some time (~6GB of data to copy) and you will see progress on screen.
Be patient and wait until this completes. • Click ' Ok' once myHack has finished and quit myHack. At this stage, myHack will have created a fully bootable USB installer with a generic ' Extra' pack. You will now install the D620-specific ' Extra' pack. • Run myHack v3.1.2 again and enter your system password. • Select ' Install Extra', then ' /Volumes/myHack OS X Install Disk 1' as target volume. • Select ' Use My Own' when prompted for the Extra folder, point to the D620 pack folder you downloaded and click ' Open'.
• myHack will then install the pack on the USB installer and finalise its tuning. • Click ' Ok' once myHack has finished and quit myHack. You now have a finalised USB installer that you can use to boot Snow Leopard's installer on your D620.
Eject the USB key. 2) OS X installation: • Plug your USB installer key to your D620 then switch on your laptop and press F12 at the Dell POST logo.
Once the boot device menu appears, select ' USB Storage Device'. • The USB installer will boot and, when you see the sliding bar under the SL logo, press a key to interrupt Chameleon. Type -f -v then Press [ENTER]. • After a few seconds, you will reach the Snow Leopard language selection menu. Select your desired language then click on the right arrow displayed in the bottom right corner.
• You will then reach Snow Leopard's main installer screen. • Click on the US flag displayed at top right corner and go to ' Other input sources' to select your appropriate keyboard layout. • Click on ' Utilities' menu in the Finder's bar and select ' Disk Utility' (DU).
• In DU, select your target disk, partition it in GUID scheme and format your target partition in ' Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)' format. Once done, quit DU and you will return to SL's main installer screen.
• In the ' Install Mac OS X' window, click ' Continue', then agree to the license agreement. • In the list of disk/partitions offered to you, select your freshly made target partition.
• Before you click on ' Install', you may click on ' Customize' to add and/or remove SL's options (eg: remove printer support and/or X11 and/or language translations and/or additional fonts). • SL will then be installing on your target HDD partition and the remaining time will be displayed (should be around 20minutes). Again, be patient and wait until this completes.
